Live Lebanon UNDP proudly unveiled a new social development project in Chouf as they remain committed to sustainable, high impact initiatives that transform deprived communities across the country.

Baakline lacked a safe and guarded place for children and youth to engage in sports and other outdoor activities. Live Lebanon, in collaboration with the Municipality of Baakline, equipped a public garden with new outdoor toys and renovated a deteriorated basketball court for the 12,000 inhabitants of Baakline to enjoy.

This new leisure facility is located in the city center, right in front of the new BBAC branch, providing the youth, children and their parents with a safe space to enjoy quality time with their peers. The easy accessibility to the public park favors the interactions between inhabitants of Baakline and visitors.

This project was accessible thanks to the contribution of Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassador Ms. Bouran Bouery, President of “Les Amis Du Liban” and the direct involvement of Baakline Municipality.

The inauguration drew many attendees including the mayor of the municipality, Dr. Nuha Ghousayni, who expressed her gratitude to UNDP and Live Lebanon GWA Mrs Buran Bouery. Other attendees included UNDP Deputy Director, Shombi Sharp, BBAC Marketing Director, Tarek Bilal and BBAC area manager.
