On July 28, 2018, 160 volunteers and boy scouts contributed to clearing the lands in Akoura and Bhamdoun to make them cartridge-free. Together with Live Lebanon and partners, they collected a total of 45 large bags full of cartridges.
The lead and plastic from used cartridges pollute land and water, harming wildlife, agriculture, and the environment.
