In the framework of UNDP’s “Live Lebanon” initiative in partnership with Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries (BBAC), and the support of Mrs. Bouran Bouery, our Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe, we held several gift distributions across Lebanon where over 1700 underprivileged kids and 80 elderly received gifts in celebration of Christmas.
On the 20th, we distributed gifts to Barqa NGO and Sharqieh School in Zahle. On the 21st, we held distributions in Tahaddi School, Rafic Hariri Hospital, an Orphanage in Tripoli, and “Jamea’yat Kachafat al-Rissala” in Tyr. On the 22nd, we distributed gifts in YWCA in Hadath and Al-Ishraq School in Aley. On the 24th, we held distributions in the Maison Maronite in Furn El Chebbak, in the village of Bkesine on the 26th of December and finally, in “Bayt El Yatim El Derzi” in Aley on the 28th of December.
In addition to that, a ceremony was held in Yater Public School to reveal a swing set which we already set up on Saturday the 15th of December in the indoor playground, where 280 kids could play during the winter time. Furthermore, 420 kids will enjoy playing on a swing set we put up in Bint Jbeil on the 15th of December as well.
Our initiatives would not be possible without our Goodwill Ambassadors. Indeed, it was thanks to our Goodwill Ambassador Bouran Bouery, that this was all possible.
