A short walk across the street from Boston’s Copley Station is where lays the stone that commemorates Lebanon’s most renowned poet, author and artist, Gibran Khalil Gibran. A Lebanese emigrant from Bcharri, Gibran lived in one of the city’s South End settlements and spent many hours studying in the Boston Public Library. He also held his first art exhibition in Boston in 1904.

Today, Boston is a city that accommodates many members of the Lebanese community in the United States. The numerous universities in and around the city house Lebanese Clubs and campus-based organizations that raise awareness about Lebanon such as the Lebanese Clubs at Boston University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
