Live Lebanon-UNDP proudly unveiled three new social development projects during the month of April as we remain committed to sustainable, high impact initiatives that transform deprived communities across the country.

The first project, Tal Dnoub, was unveiled in Bekaa.
Seeking to improve the town's environmental sustainability and increase tourism, Live Lebanon planted 580 trees and constructed cladding walls on the roadside to avoid the debris normally swept by water during rainy season and expand the town's entrance .
The inauguration drew many attendees, including M.P. Mr. Mohammed Rahhal, former Minister of Environment, and the Head of the Municipality, Mr. Elie Sakr, who spoke of the need for green initiatives and sustainable infrastructure to improve the quality of life for the community. Other attendees included the UNDP Social and Local Development Programme Manager, Mr. Raghed Assi, and BBAC managers.

The second project in Ain Yaacoub-North Lebanon was inaugurated in the presence of the Head of the Municaplity, Majed Derbas, and UNDP Director, Luca Renda. Providing social and cultural opportunities for rural youths, the newly built sports field and playground offers a chance for social interaction between young people. After the inauguration, a friendly basketball match took place between local youth overjoyed with their new sports field .

The final inauguration of the Baakline project topped off a busy week. Live Lebanon renovated the 'Al Marej' garden in the centre of the village. The Head of the Municipality, Dr. Noha Ghoussaini, the Deputy Country Director of UNDP, Shombi Sharp, and Director of the BBAC Branch in Baakline, Amin Dimani, were delighted that the community's youth had new opportunities to socialize and stay active .

Reflecting upon the project, Dr. Ghoussaini, said, "BBAC and Live Lebanon's support of Baakline has injected the community with a new sense of purpose as we look to the future with hope".
Mrs. Bouran Bouery, Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe, provided distinguished support to the three projects, saying "I am proud to be part of such an initiative
that acts where is needed the most without distinguishing between religions or political affiliations".

Looking forward for more success and achievements!
