The country that had earned a prestigious reputation because of its everlasting nature is surprisingly running out of trees. This is the result of the negligent approach from the community as a whole.
Bcharreh, which is known for its distinguished cedars, is suffering from this phenomena. Climate change and the loss of green areas in Lebanon have pushed the youth to take action and attempt to solve this continuous problem.
On Sunday 5th of November 2017, Live Lebanon with the support of LRI (Lebanese Reforestation Initiative), gathered 2000 volunteers in order to plant 5000 trees in Bcharreh in order to raise awareness.
في إطار العمل على تنظيف لبنان الاخضر و دعما لمبادرة" اعادة تشجير لبنان "بالتعاون مع" عيش حب لبنان" و"الشباب التطوعي" قام برنامج" عيش لبنان" التابع لبرنامج الامم المتحدة الانمائي نهار الاحد في 5 تشرين ثاني 2018 بجمع 2000 متطوع بهدف تشجير 5000 شجرة في ارز بشري بانتظار حملة التشجير المقبلة في مناطق اخرى من لبنان وذلك تحت شعار "مش كل مرة بتسلم الشجرة" .
