The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Live Lebanon project organized a press conference to celebrate the appointment of Mr. Fadi Salameh as the Institutional Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP Live Lebanon. The press conference took place on Thursday 26th of May at 10:00am at the premises of the Press Syndicate in Ain el Tineh, Beirut.
During the ceremony, UNDP’s Resident Representative Mr. Robert Watkins and Mr. Fadi Salameh signed a memorandum of understanding. In attendance was Mr. Ahmad Assi Head of the Public Relations Office for Emigrant Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants as well as deputies, foreign ambassadors and experts in the field of local and social development.
Mr. Watkins spoke about the progress Live Lebanon has made in reaching out to Lebanese communities worldwide, highlighting numerous completed projects implemented in the country through expatriate support. Furthermore, Mr. Watkins welcomed the appointment of Mr. Salameh appreciating his support to UNDP and specifically to Live Lebanon.
The conference was concluded by presenting a commemorational award to Mr. Salameh for his generous support and continuous commitment to Live Lebanon.
