Spreading Christmas joy!

Christmas is approaching and the spirit of solidarity is stronger than ever at Live Lebanon. For this reason, Live Lebanon, in partnership with BBAC, held several events to share the holidays’ spirit throughout Lebanon. Below was our Christmas events calendar in 2012:

-          Assi el Halani performing to save Al Madina theater (19^th December):  Live Lebanon and BBAC believed in the importance of preserving public spaces for artists to express their creativity and be heard. Thanks to our generous Goodwill Ambassador Assi el Halani, all the benefits of this event were allocated to the Theater. We estimated that the profits would allow us to cover the theater rent for at least an additional year.

-          Christmas Gift distribution (19^th- 21^nd December):  Over 800 children around Lebanon enjoyed a well-deserved Christmas present for the holidays. Thanks to the generosity of our Goodwill Ambassador Mrs. Bouran Bouery, we distributed gifts in Tripoli (19^th December), Zahle (20^th December) and Tyre (21^st December). We wanted to make sure that no child will be left behind by Santa this Christmas. We hope to continue spreading smiles for the years to come.

-          Project Inauguration in Mhaithe (20^th December): Live Lebanon, in partnership with BBAC, provided equipment to Nejme El Suboh, a women's cooperative, to increase their productivity and ensure a sustainable livelihood for its members. Many joined us in this celebration and tasted their delicious home-made products. BBAC employees also joined us in this celebration and tasted their home-made products.

-          Assi el Hellani Gift Distribution (23^rd December): Our Goodwill Ambassador, Assi El Hallani, distributed gifts for over 1,000 disabled and poor children. The distribution was followed by a party including Assi’s performance for the children and their families. The event took place in Kornit El Hamra beside Rabieh at Rosary Theater.

And as the joyful month of December comes to an end, we will be planning many more events to share the holiday spirit with the citizens of Lebanon all year round.
