The United Nations Development Programme in Lebanon is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Farid Chedid as Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP Live Lebanon initiative. A long-standing supporter of youth entrepreneurs and development through his work as a board member for Endeaver Lebanon, Mr. Chedid will spare no effort to raise funds for the implementation of projects that will bring tangible change to underprivileged communities.
"We are appointing Mr. Chedid as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Live Lebanon initiative. Through this initiative we are promoting “brain gain” by engaging the Lebanese diaspora to be part of the undergoing development efforts in Lebanon. Mr. Chedid is an example of a successful Lebanese expatriate who will invite the diaspora to take part in this initiative.” Said Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, UNDP Resident Representative.
“I am humbled to be given the opportunity to support the livelihoods of the communities in need. Significant progress has already been made but it is time that we collectively intensify our efforts to improve the lives of those communities by creating jobs and by providing them with survival means,” said Mr. Chedid.
Mr. Chedid is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Chedid Capital SAL (Holding) group of companies. ?He is a member of the Advisory Board of Euro Mena II & III Private Equity Funds. ?
He was elected for his Major Achievements as a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute Chartered Insurance Broker – United Kingdom.
He holds a Masters in Finance from the ESCP – Europe, France?Masters in Finance from the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, Lebanon

Live Lebanon is a UNDP initiative that operates as a neutral channel through which the Lebanese diaspora and private companies can provide direct support to the development of Lebanon’s underprivileged communities. Live Lebanon projects fall under 4 pillars of development: environment, health, youth and income generation.
Since 2010, Live Lebanon has implemented 55 projects that were only made possible by the generous contribution.
