Health is a right!
The medical care coverage in Lebanon is unfortunately very uneven. There’s a big gap in the system between the private sector and its troubled public counterpart. More than half (about 53.3 %) of the population do not have any kind of medical insurance. Research shows that within this large group, you will find elderly and unemployed individuals often from low-income districts. The uninsured citizens have no access to the most basic healthcare services they need.
To mark World Health Day on the 7th of April, LIVE LEBANON is raising awareness about its health campaign which includes projects in different Lebanese villages. These projects seek to develop and equip medical centers for elderly and provide medical equipment to local health clinics.
You can support these projects by either making a donation online today or raising awareness about these issues with your friends and family. Get more information about our health campaign or browse our health projects.
