On October 13-14, 2017, 117 divers from around the world (LA, Venezuela, Jordan...) teamed up for a grand scuba diving cleanup, collecting 2 tons of underwater sea waste across 8 locations in Lebanon. This was later recycled.
This call-for-action was initiated by Maya Saad, a Lebanese scuba diver from LA, who came to contribute to the underwater health of her home country.
